And as by this time your stomach must already complain for attention ...
Cross
the Passeig de Gràcia, just in front of La Pedrera, the streets Carrer de
Provença and Rambla de Catalunya have several restaurants, where you can have
lunch. Also near Casa Batló, there are restaurants in Carrer d'Aragó and
opposite to Casa Batló you also have in Carrer del Consell de Cent.

3) Walk
from Passeig de Gràcia to Plaça de Catalunya [~ 20 min.]. But be aware! Do not forget to visit Casa Batló
[~ 1h - 1h30], another work by Gaudí and admire the facade of Casa Lleo Morera.
If your budget allows it, take advantage of it and visit the Casa Amatller
transformed by Puig i Cadafalch into an urban Gothic palace [~ 30 min.].
4) When you get to Plaça de Catalunya, cross the
square and at your left you will see the Hard Rock Café and in front of you,
you will see the beginning of the Ramblas.
5) Walk along the Ramblas until you reach LaBoquería Market, visit this 19th century market that will make your mouth

Hunger steals the memory … so, where can I
eat?
You
can enjoy a dinner in the La Boquería Market or in Plaça Reial
(next to the Rambla Pharmacy, on the left side of the Ramblas, turn into Carrer
de Colom and you will arrive at Plaça Reial). When you finish your dinner, join
the “Catalan party” on the Ramblas!
2 nd Day: Ramblas - Gothic Quarter - Parc de Montjuïc
1) Take the metro on line 3 and exit at Liceu station.
Tour the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona. You can see a detailed itinerary HERE [~ 2h-3h]. Do not miss the chance
to taste the chocolates of the famous 18th century chocolatiers: La Pallaresa
(number 11) and Dulcinea (number 2) in Carrer Petritxol! The itinerary is a
circular circuit, so at the end you will return to the Ramblas.
* ~~~~~~ *
Does that thing called hunger begin to attack?
The simple
solution is to go to Boquería Market, to one of the restaurants in Plaça
Reial (next to the Rambla Pharmacy, on the left side of the Ramblas, turn
into Carrer de Colom and you will arrive at the Plaça Reial) or you can
interrupt the route through the Gothic Quarter at Palau de la Generalitat.
Instead of continuing through Carrer del Call, do the exact opposite and looks
for a restaurant along Carrer de la Llibreteria and Carrer de Jaume
I.
* ~~~~~~ *
2) Walk along the Ramblas to the end, where you
will find the Columbus Statue [~ 15 min]. Go up to its belvedere and
enjoy another fantastic view of the city! [~ 20 min].
3) Next to the Columbus Statue, take the metro at
"Drassanes" station (at the intersection of Av. De les Drassanes and
Carrer del Portal de Santa Madrona), line 3, and exit at "Paral-lel"
stop. Inside the station "Paral-lel", you will find the funicular
of Montjuïc that will take you to the mountain of Montjuïc.
4) Arriving at the Funicular's upper station, there are
two options: take bus 150 (cheaper option) or use the Montjuïc cable car (price
is € 11.25). Both have as final destination the Castell de Montjuïc (the
highest point of the park).

5) Then just go to the Miradouro de l'Alcalde [5
min., if you bought a return ticket on the funicular you can use it], where is
the Monument a la Sardana, a tribute to the most traditional dance in
Barcelona. Watch the view over the city ... some say that from here, the city
looks like a huge chocolate bar!
6) Continue through the Montjuic road until you reach the
entrance of the Hotel Miramar [10 min.]. Here you will find the Miradouro
del Poble Sec, overlooking the Poble Sec neighborhood.
7) The journey continues along Av. Miramar. You will pass
by the Municipal Pool of Montjuïc, Fundació Joan Miró, Olímpic
i de l'Esport Museum and following in the direction of the Estadi
Olímpic Lluís Companys, you will pass on Passeig de la Fama
(sidewalk that imitates the Hollywood walk of fame, in honor of the atthletes).
8) Cross the garden towards Palau Nacional, now home of
the MNAC (Nacional d'Art de Catalunya Museum).
Attention! The museums of points 8 and 9 can be visited free of
charge with the Barcelona Card 72h.
