It is 35
hectares with buddhas, pagodas, terracotta statues and several modern and
African sculptures ... it is estimated that over 6,000 tons of marble and
granite were used to build this garden!

The
central staircase
with its smiling buddies is undoubtedly one of the most iconic places in the garden
... do not forget your Pepsodent smile and take a selfie with a golden Buddha!
In
the central lake you can
observe KOI fish and sculpted dragons.

When I
visited the garden, the 600 terracotta soldiers looked like a Chinese
avatar army, because the originals were being restored. In the center you can
still find one of the original, terracotta and hand painted figures.

For those
who do not like walking and stairs climbing, the garden has a little train
that makes three stops ... it is easy to find out the places where it stops
(for 3 minutes), because there is always someone who likes to start singing one
“famous” Portuguese song that sounds like this (just listening).

buy a bottle of Moscatel (wine
produced from Moscatel grapes, having as characteristic its sweetness) ... for the long, cold winter nights, of course!
